The appointment of Naz Khan as a member of the Moseley School Interim Executive Board is likely to be as deeply controversial and/or problematic as the appointment of Tim Boyes - the permanent Head Teacher of Queensbridge School - as Interim Head Teacher of Moseley School. With Tim Boyes, it quickly led to an inherent conflict of interest as the Local Authority then wanted Queensbridge School to become a soft federation partner for Moseley School with Tim Boyes as Executive Head Teacher. Later on, the Local Authority wanted Queensbridge to become a Hard Federation partner and when that proposal failed owing to poor 2009 GCSE results, Queensbridge was proposed as a National Challenge Trust partner.
Not only does Naz Khan hold a senior position in South Birmingham College (Vice Principal) but he also holds a senior position in Attock Cricket Club (Chair).
South Birmingham College could be a potential Trust partner for Moseley School.
Attock Cricket Club has a lease agreement with Moseley School and makes use of the cricket pitch and club house on Moseley School land.
As a member of the Interim Executive Board at Moseley School, will Naz Khan be putting the interests of the parents and pupils of Moseley School first, or the interests of South Birmingham College or Attock Cricket Club first?
