At an Emergency Governing Body meeting held on 3rd March 2009, the Head of School Effectiveness cited several reasons why a hard federation had to be established between Moseley and Queensbridge Schools. One of the reasons was the anticipated appointment of a permanent Head Teacher for Moseley School. The Local Authority assumed the Governing Body would appoint an inexperienced first-time Head Teacher!
There is uncertainty of securing effective whole-school leadership in the long term. This would include the appointment of a first-time Head Teacher, whose inexperience in such a situation would cast a question on improvements of standards and quality.
Meanwhile, it looks like someone else had their eyes on such a prestigious job in a prestigious school that had just turned a corner under the new leadership of the Governing Body.
